Danceworks 2009 - A celebration of Greater Manchester's dance talent On Sunday 9th March, Dance Initiative Greater Manchester will present Danceworks, its annual showcase of local community dance groups of all ages and levels staging brand new dance pieces. Dance Initiative Greater Manchester now welcomes applications from groups wishing to take part in Danceworks 2009.

Groups performing are selected from a host of applications and represent their district in this Greater Manchester wide showcase. School based and community groups are welcome to apply but not professional groups. Selected groups will experience the thrill of performing on the stage at a prestigious theatre, The Lowry.

If your group is interested in taking part, all performing members and group leaders must be available to attend a technical rehearsal during the day on Sunday 1st February and be available to perform that evening in the Quays Theatre, The Lowry. Timeslots and scheduling will be arranged by DiGM and will be non-negotiable.

Participants will be asked to pay a non-refundable registration fee of £20.00. Groups applying are selected at the discretion of Dance Initiative Greater Manchester.
