JK Dance Productions (Manchester based Commercial Dance Agency) have been approached to help with a casting for a major feature film and they are looking for 2 Afro Caribbean young people aged between 12-14 to play lead roles in a feature film, which will be shot here in Manchester from the end of September. Ideally the boys will be from Manchester, Mosside/Rusholme / Old Trafford and we will need them to play lead roles in Michael Winterbottoms new feature 'A Beautiful Game' which shoots from the end of September 08. All work will be fully paid
Casting is on Wednesday 6th August 08 and Saturday 9th August in Manchester City Centre.
NO PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE IS NECESSARY, we can’t stress that enough, just a desire to come along and try out. We are not looking for stage school all singing, dancing acting children. People with great personalities and who can come across on camera as real believable characters would be great.
At this call the young people will just have a picture taken and have a relaxed/informal chat on camera. Recalls will be made soon after. For those that go on to be in the film it will be fully paid work.
The Casting Director is the company which cast and found the actors for films such as ‘Dear Frankie’ ‘Bullet Boy” ‘Green St’ and “This is England”
The Director is Michael Winterbottoms – previous Films 24hr Party People
The casting Director would also like to meet a young Afro Carribbean Mancunian actress in her early 30's
for a key role in the film, interesting looking, not too beautiful would be great.
